Come and enjoy traditional Karoo afval served during Winter only from Monday to Sunday –  10h00 to 17h00. This traditional farm lunch consists of a wholesome soup starter, served with homemade bread, afval or the alternative main course of the day and a traditional dessert which changes from week to week, as well as coffee.

Annatjie Melck, who hails from the Karoo, prepares and serves this honest farm lunch. She is the owner of Oom Samie se Winkel in Stellenbosch and also a director of the Wine Estate, Muratie. The meal is served in the cosy atmosphere of the fermentation tanks and the guests are surrounded by the warmth of the fireplace and the history of G P Canitz’s antique paintings.
